Portland: Apizza Scholls

Very popular pizza place!  We waited over 2 hours!  They're very picky about the pizzas and don't want toppings piled onto it so you can really taste the dough. It was amazing.  Worth the wait!

Portland: Portland City Grill

Located on the 30th floor in Portland with great views.  Pretty nice restaurant, the napkin was tied with a bow.  The complementary bread was delicious!  Still warm out of the oven. I ordered the pork tenderloin, very tender.  Green beans were also very well cooked.  Only thing I didn't like was the horseradish dressing.  I didn't know about it but small enough for me to scrape off my meat.

Portland: Screen Door

A very popular breakfast place.  We waited 2 hours for a damn table.  I don't think it's worth the hype.  I got a small order of chicken and waffles and a side of sausage and biscuit.  I don't think I'm a chicken and waffles type of person.  I was so hangry by the time we ate that I couldn't enjoy it.

Portland: Podnahs Pit Barbecue

BBQ joint in Portland in sort of a residential area. I got a plate of ribs and brisket along with potato salad.  Brisket was delicious.  Ribs were legit and potato salad was standard.  They also have their own varieties of homemade BBQ sauces.  Very tangy.

Falafel Drive In

Went during lunch with some coworkers who enjoy good grubs. I ordered their special - a large falafel sandwich with a fresh banana shake. The pita and veggies were meh, but the falafel balls were awesome! Very crunchy on the outside, and pretty light since they use a course grind on the chickpeas. It came with tahini sauce and spicy sauce, which was a little sweet for my taste.

The banana shake was A.MA.ZING. I would go back just for that.

Chili House

Went up to SF back in May for Phonethip's birthday celebration.  None of us had been here before. It was pretty standard.

Cheesecake Factory

I went to Cheesecake Factory on Saturday with my co-workers. I got the Cobb salad (lunch portion). If you ever go to Cheesecake Factory skip the Cobb salad! Waaaay too much blue cheese - huge chucks of them. My favorite Cobb salad is from Coco's bakery.

Banana Bread!

I've been craving some good banana bread for the past couple of weeks now. I went to Trader Joe's  get their banana bread but I was sadly disappointed. Today I decided to make some of my own!

They're not made from scratch, but for something so quick and easy, it was not bad! Although the recipe did not call for bananas, I included two very ripe banana and substituted water with almond milk.

Boiling Crab

We went here for Eric Chu's birthday.  We were expecting a really long wait time as yelpers have complained.  Not so bad for a Wednesday but I still went early just in case.  We got a dozen oysters which were very big!  3 pounds of shrimp and 2 corn with shibang sauce, 1 pound of crawfish.  Not pictured are Eric B friendly foods like fried shrimp, Cajun and sweetpotato  fries, calamari and chicken wings.  For future visits: don't order crawfish no more!  Too much work for so little payout!

Easy Earthen

Earthen is a really popular Taiwanese restaurant in Rowland Heights. Because it was so busy, an Earthen express was opened.. Limited menu selection but it still has all the good stuff.

Green Onion Cake

Cold Noodles

Not pictured was a beef roll. Forgot to take a picture of it because it came out later.
